A core value for BlackPoint IT Services is to be passionate about our profession, our clients, our community, and each other! As a small business in the Pacific Northwest, it is our responsibility to give back to the communities that have supported us for over 40 years.
This month, BlackPoint teamed up with Exceed Enterprises and DAWN Rising to help make their clients' holiday wish lists turn into a reality! We also have doing our fair share of celebratory eating this season and wanted to share the goods with Seattle's Union Gospel Mission and St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Please take a moment to read about these incredible organizations that serve the PNW’s at-risk communities, and consider supporting them through donations, volunteering, or just raise awareness by sharing this article through social media.
Established in 1968, Exceed Enterprises is a non-profit organization that excels in providingvocational and personal development servicesfor people with disabilities. Exceed serves the Portland metropolitan area offering a variety of options and opportunities through rehabilitation services, community-based & on-site business environments, personal services and community activities.
Our community and business partnerships enable people with disabilities to contribute to society through meaningful employment and increased independence, self-confidence, and dignity.
Dawn protects women and children from domestic abuse, providing shelter, support and empowerment so they can build secure and happy lives. We lead our community toward the vision of a violence-free future by sharing our expertise and educating people to recognize, respond to and prevent violence. Together, with the support of our generous donors and dedicated volunteers, we build a safer place to live for us all.
Seattle's Union Gospel Mission started serving soup to thousands of homeless and unemployed people during the Great Depression. Eighty-five years later, we care for our neighbors in more ways than ever. Relationship is key in all we do. By providing 24/7, 360-degree support services for homeless people in King County, we seek to be a consistent friend to those who are isolated and in need. We go where people live, listen to their stories, and regularly connect with each person to provide emergency care and invite them into our recovery programs.
Welcome to St. Luke’s Church in Ballard where we seek to love our neighbors as God loves us all. Our neighborhood is rich in diversity and so are we. Together we are pilgrims on a spiritual journey, growing in faith, hope and love. Here you will find food along the way as well as opportunities to feed others who are hungry. Grow with our garden (the “SLUG”), feed the vulnerable with a daily breakfast and weekly lunch and belong to a community who prays, sings and listens for God each week.
